I’m going to let you into a little secret here about using red kratom strains for pain relief. The secret is that one red kratom strain will work for pain relief just as well as any other red kratom strain.

So the truth is that at the fundamental level, it doesn’t matter if it’s red Borneo, red Bali, red Thai, literally any type of red kratom that you choose and use.

There’s good reasons for this conclusion, and I’ll explain all in this quick guide on choosing and using red kratom to relieve pain.

So what you’re going to learn here is why red kratom works best for pain (compared to white and green kratom), how the differences between the strains of red kratom aren’t that different for pain relief, and the fact that it’s not quite the whole story about red kratom for pain relief.

Why You Can Use Any Red Kratom For Relieving Pain

Red kratom contains an alkaloid profile that is different to green and white kratom, that’s why it’s better for pain relief. It’s alkaloids are stronger in profile for acting as partial agonist of the relevant opioid receptors that deal with pain (it’s higher in the alkaloid 7-Hydroxymitragynine which is more strongly linked to pain relief).

So at its heart, red kratom is better for pain relief. That’s why it doesn’t matter if it’s red Bali, red Borneo, whatever. Any red kratom strain that good quality and taken at moderate to strong dose will significantly act as an analgesic.

The better the kratom, the stronger it will be in the relevant alkaloids, and the better it will be at relieving pain at moderate dose.

Why Red Kratom Strains Are Overhyped And Are Mostly About Marketing

When you read about the different strains of kratom, you’re actually reading more about Western marketing than the reality of kratom harvesting and use in Asia.

Let me explain with an example. Borneo kratom, Kalimantan kratom, Thai kratom, Indo kratom. All sold as separate kratom strains.

But here’s the thing.

It could all be exactly the same kratom from the island of Borneo. Borneo is an island that split between Thailand, Indonesia, and Brunei.

There’s also a region in it called Kalimantan.

Do you really think that all that kratom is so different? Do you think that those massive kratom plantations make any distinction between the different types. In fact, ask yourself this question: how can anything be “Borneo” kratom at all?

Do you really think the people of Borneo are rushing around trying to get their hands on different types of kratom grown on the island in order to derive significantly different effects? The answer is evidently that no they aren’t.

The truth is it’s just red kratom from the island of Borneo, that is mostly labelled up on arrival in the USA, Europe, wherever it’s exported to, as those different types.

You don’t have a situation where it’s grown and harvested in Kalimantan, exported as Kalimantan kratom, tested and bagged up as Kalimantan kratom, and sold as such. It just doesn’t happen.

That’s why red kratom is mostly just red kratom. It’s bagged up under the different names on arrival wherever it sold to make it sound more exotic. That’s what mostly happens.

However, as an example, that doesn’t mean there’s never any differences between Indo kratom. Indo kratom from Borneo is going to be different from that grown on other Indonesian islands. The soil, plants, and harvesting techniques will always ensure the alkaloid profile is slightly different.

But the bottom line here is that as you can see, it’s mostly a marketing trick; and if you pick 12 different strains of red kratom, even from the reputable sellers, and they could actually be the same kratom in the main.

So Where Does This Leave Us With Choosing Red Kratom Strains?

The truth is that the difference between the different strains isn’t as much as you would think. When you read those kratom guides online, or those individual kratom strain reviews, but tell you about how one strain is brilliant for anaesthetising you and calm you down, while another strain is better at pain relief, that’s mostly just bullshit.

But I’m not saying there’s no difference between the different red kratom products out there that you can buy.

As long as you buy them from a reputable seller, they will be consistently bagged up as that type. What the origin is will be completely unknown to you, but you will get a consistency in the product you are buying, and therefore the effects that you get.

Which all means that you’re going to have to experiment with different types of red kratom to find the one that is best for pain relief for you.

I will say this. Any red kratom will calm you down and relieve physical pain. What’s more important than the type of kratom is the quality. The higher the alkaloid content, the purer the kratom, the better it’s harvested, kept, and transported, the better your experience will be in terms of pain relief.

If you want slightly more energy, and slightly less pain relief, then green kratom can be the next best type of kratom to take.

How To Experiment With Red Kratom For Pain Relief Benefits

So let’s now talk about how you can successfully experiment with different types of red kratom to find one that is best for you in relieving physical or mental pain symptoms.

These are the steps you need to follow:

  1. You have to source the best quality kratom you can in terms of purity. There are actually very few Western retailers of kratom who have consistently high quality kratom for sale, that is rich in alkaloids, and that isn’t cut with other herbs to make it go further.
  2. You have to buy several types of red kratom and experiment with each using increasing levels of re kratom dosage for pain relief. Do this for each type of kratom until you hit the sweet spot in terms of dose and effects. Then do it with another kratom strain, and then another, until you have found the one which derives the best benefits for you.
  3. Once you’ve found that red kratom strain that works best for pain relief for you, you have to work on taking the minimum dose to get the maximum effects. This means potentiating the kratom, it means having an empty stomach, and it means stepping up your doses bit by bit so that you are not taking too much, in order to avoid kratom tolerance building.

There you go, that’s everything you need to know about red kratom for pain relief. Click the links to read more about potentiating kratom taking it on an empty stomach, and how to experiment with dosing kratom so that you get the best effects with the lowest dose.

In terms of where to buy the best red kratom for pain relief, you’re going to have to experiment. All I can do here is point you in the direction of the people I use, as a starting point. These are the best people I’ve found to buy red kratom from currently.
